Designed to teach life and vocational skills through real-world experience. Activities may include:

• Budgeting and shopping

• Community service

• Navigating local resources
  Typically supports 3–4 students per year in this specialized track.

Paraprofessionals support students in general education classes by:

• Taking notes or maintaining class notebooks

• Reading assessments aloud

• Providing one-on-one reinforcement
  Some students receive individual paraprofessional support as outlined in their IEPs.

For students who thrive in hands-on settings, this program allows students to:

• Work in real jobs while earning credit

• Develop workplace skills

• Receive ongoing feedback from the career prep coordinator

Students receiving special education services are re-evaluated at least once every three years. These evaluations help the IEP team:

• Monitor student progress

• Understand how the student learns best

• Identify areas where support may need to be adjusted

Evaluations include updated academic and learning profiles to inform ongoing planning.

Conducted during triennial evaluations or by team request, these assessments:

• Help students explore career paths

• Inform postsecondary planning

• Guide IEP team decisions

Case managers support collaboration between students, families, and staff by:

• Meeting with teachers to review student needs

• Sharing bi-weekly teacher reports with students and families

• Acting as liaisons between teachers and parents

Provided based on IEP team recommendations, related services may include:

• Physical therapy

• Occupational therapy

• Speech-language services

• School counseling or mental health support
