The Special Education Department at Lebanon High School services students with Individualized Education Programs (IEP). We believe all students can find academic, social, and emotional success when provided the appropriate opportunity that meets their current abilities. We do this by providing supports, nurturing strengths and reducing barriers within an inclusive and safe environment. We work with students, teachers, parents, and community agencies in order to ensure that our students are receiving appropriate services and supports. The Special Education Department at LHS also oversees to additional programs: Transition to Career prepares students for the competitive post-secondary workplace. We do this by direct instruction in soft skills, rehearsing real-world scenarios, and modeling employment skills. Structured Skills places a fundamental focus on personal, social, functional daily living and academic skills that builds a foundation for successful transition to adulthood.
