Student Assistance Provider (SAP)

Mental health support is available to all students through our Counseling Department. If more targeted services are needed, students are referred to the Student Assistance Provider (SAP). The SAP generally provides more specific social-emotional support, short-term counseling and/or intervention services. The SAP also frequently makes referrals to outside resources. Finally, the Student Assistance Provider is an integral part of the 10th grade health class called Teen Roles and teaches units on prevention topics such as alcohol and substance misuse.

More information about the Student Assistance Provider model endorsed by the NH Department of Health & Human Services can be found on their website. If you would like your student to be referred to our SAP, please contact School Counseling. Provided here as well is the Outside Therapist Referral List for Parents/Guardians.
