Excellence is an art won by training and habituation...We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit. --Aristotle
Students who are serviced through a 504 Plan receive necessary accommodations which ensure access to the high school setting. These accommodations address the student's disability. 504 Pans are developed by a team which may consist of the student, the student's parent(s)/guardian(s), the student's teacher(s), the student's counselor, and the 504 Coordinator. The student's disability and corresponding need for reasonable accommodations are identified and documented in the plan. Likewise, the plan delineates the specific accommodations, which will be implemented by the school. These plans are then given to the teachers and support staff who are asked to implement appropriate parts. 504 Plans are reviewed at least annually to ensure that they continue to meet the student's needs.
Success seems to be largely a matter of hanging on after others have let go. --William Feather
