ELO Assessments

The following are examples of ELO final evaluations. Students may be required to fulfill one or more of these summative assessments to demonstrate learning.

Panel Review: The student may be required to explain his/her ELO and its outcomes in detail to a designated panel. The panel may look for evidence of Research, Reflection, Products, and Presentations. Evidence of learning as well as presentation skills will be considered.

Research: The student may complete a research paper or project. It must meet all MLA requirements.

Reflection: The student may demonstrate evidence of reflection on his/her ELO experience. This may include a reflective journal and final paper.

Product: The student may present evidence of his/her culminating project and answer questions specific to the product and process.

Presentation: The student may create and deliver a presentation of his/her learning and answer questions specific to the presentation and process.

Demonstration: The student may demonstrate examples though an outward display of the knowledge and/or skills that were acquired though the ELO.

Portfolio: The student may provide evidence of his/her process and learning in an organized portfolio. It may include reflections, research, products, artifacts, photographs, drawings, or any other components. The student may be asked questions about the content and process.

Transcript: The student may provide a transcript from an educational institution. There may be a required minimum grade to receive credit.
