LHS Class of 2017: Important dates

Updated April 7, 2017

We are getting close to the end of senior year. April is the unofficial kick-off of senior events starting with the senior girls tea, boys luncheon, and the junior/senior prom.

Senior Girls Tea - April 26, 2017

The senior girls tea is a 70+ year tradition that is hosted by the Lebanon Women’s Club at the Marion Carter House. The ladies of the Women’s Club are gathering information from our senior parents - wondering if they are Lebanon Alumni. If you are, please email me the year that you graduated. The ladies are taking that information and preparing a surprize for the girls.

Senior Boys Luncheon -  April 26, 2017

This year, we have collaborated with Pete St. Pierre and the American Legion in Lebanon to host a luncheon at the same time as the Senior Girls Tea. We have invited a Lebanon resident as a guest to speak to the value of community and service in a way that we hope resonates with the group in positive fashion. In our attempt to parallel the longstanding tradition of the Senior Girl’s tea, we are now in year three of gathering the boys together and look forward to this opportunity continuing on an annual basis.

Prom 2017 - May 13,  2017

This year’s theme is Diamond Gala and will be held at the Fireside Inn from 7pm-10pm. Tickets will go on sale Wednesday April 12, 2017. They will be $45.00 from April 12 to April 28, $50.00 from April 29 to May 5, and then $55.00 May 6 to May 12. Again this year, we will have a grand march at 6:00pm in the high school gym prior to prom so everyone can see how great the students look and take photographs. (Doors open at 5:30) Attached, please find a flyer telling about this year’s Cinderella Project. This program allows girls to purchase beautiful prom gowns at a considerably reduced price.

Senior Dues

Very few seniors participated in the fundraising event. The few that did participate did an excellent job but there are still funds needed to finance the senior final events. Additionally, 46% of the class has not paid their dues. If you/your student has not paid your dues, please do so IMMEDIATELY!!! The annual dues are $25.00 and the checks should be made out to LEBANON SCHOOL DISTRICT. You can mail them to Lebanon High School c/o Cindy McCarthy, 195 Hanover Street, Lebanon, NH 03766  or students can bring them into the school. They can bring them to either of us in room 215B.
