LHS Student of the Month

Senior Dylan Glazier has a positive and sincere demeanor and a "can-do" attitude. He has a strong work ethic which is consistent, and his academic achievement is driven by sincere intellectual curiosity. He is an excellent communicator, and has a great sense of humor. Dylan has been a leader in Science Olympiad. Coach John Tietjen noted that he designed and taught science lessons at the middle school, and helped organize an Invitational Tournament in February. "Everyone I know who has worked with Dylan has enjoyed his sincere congeniality and enthusiastic spirit of volunteerism," Mr. Tietjen added. In the math department, Ms. Fisher praised, "Dylan is in a course that calls for a fair degree of initiative and creativity. He's got those in spades. No challenge is too daunting for him. He became interested in random behavior and is doing an independent project on random phenomena in quantum mechanics. He's funny, positive, energetic, and a leader of our class." Congratulations to Dylan!

Students are nominated for their genuine interest in learning, respect for fellow students and faculty, contributions to the school community, and/or overcoming adversity.  Students are first nominated and then voted on by faculty & staff.
